These type of LEDS make building a Night Launch Rocket EASY!!!

Colorful, good for all rockets, in nose cones, on fins and in unpainted Fiberglass airframe, or even Christmas Lights.

These LEDS have a Micro-processor and (3) different colors LEDS built in,  pre-programmed to do 2 types of color changing ( Fade and Flash) all in one LED package.

1) Color fading cycle (Appox. 1 second cycle time) thru all colors RED, GREEN and  BLUE 

 and all colors in between( red, yellow, green, aqua, blue, purple and white) , then

2) Color Flashing cycle (Appox. 1 second cycle time) all colors RED, GREEN and  BLUE

and all colors in between, then a repeat, Forever

All you need is a resistor or two and a battery.

1-380 ohm 1/8 watt. resistor per LED for a 9 volt battery.

or

1- 47 ohm 1/2 watt resistor per 10 LEDS for a 9 volt battery

can be used with smaller batteries too, (2) 3 volt coin battery work great!

This is 18 5mm rainbow LEDS mounted inside a 38mm Fiberglass airframe, with 3 resistors (47 ohm) and 1-9 volt battery. mounting inside a Fiberglass tube make for a great diffused lens and give you a more uniform display and viewable from all angles. Clear tubing works well too, just lightly sand the tube inside for diffusing.
